If we get hyperinflation, you MUST leave the US. The alternative is starvation.

Posted by John T. Reed on

On Facbook, I said if and when we get hyperinflation, you need to leave the country. . A reader said that is “unrealistic” and ruled it totally out. He is going to live off a stockpile out in the boondocks. . I would like to hear the proof that leaving the US is unrealistic. I spent years analyzing this including analyzing his solution and the leave solution. I have written I think 39 how-to books. Writing unrealistic how-to books is the equivalent of medical malpractice. . I think the reader’s issue is that he does not want to leave the country. ....

The Dem spending frenzy will lead to disaster

Posted by John T. Reed on

The Dems are going nuts with your grandkids' credit card. Biden is Uncle Sugar buying popularity with teachers, deadbeat college graduates, deadbeat tenants, grade school dropout illegals. . Come one, come all. The eviction moratorium has been extended another three months. It's unconstitutional some courts have agreed. But when the Supreme Court finally rules against it, I doubt they are going to give landlords a judgment they can collect. It will be a fait accompli. Police shootings rank 58th Homicide by gun shot ranked 31st 14,542 in 2020 https://www.cbsnews.com/pictures/death-index-top-50-ways-americans-die/60/  Most of the causes of death that kill far more people than gun homicides are preventable or reduce-able to an extent. If we are against preventable early death, we should be spending more time and effort and money on heart disease, lung cancer, drug over dose, high blood pressure, obesity, drunk drivers. If you are spending more time, effort,...

Yet another whispered warning of hyperinflation by the Wall Street Journal

Posted by John T. Reed on

Once again, the WSJ is whispering “hyperinflation” is a crowded theater. This week’s “cover our ass with multiple warning articles” item is an op-ed on page A17 by William Walker titled “The Coming Demand Surge Brings Back Memories of 1970s Inflation.” Google the title to read it. . As always in this informal Journal series, they refuse to use the work “hyperinflation.” I suspect they fear being accused of being tin foil hat wearers. . As always in this informal Journal series, the punch line is in the final sentence: “Once [inflation] gets its claws into a demand-fueled, supply-constrained economy,...
