Gates and Judge Napolitano making hard-hitting statements

Posted by John Reed on

Some powerful, candid stuff coming out the mouths of Robert Gates and Judge Napolitano recently on TV.Gates essentially said Obama did not believe in the mission in Afghanistan. In other words, he let people die for his personal political career. My Unelected President doesn’t believe in the mission there either. Around his second day in office he instantly yanks all U.S. personnel out of the country. That’s the kind of stuff you get when the president is not a politician. I recently said I doubted the Justice Department or FBI would prosecute Hillary no matter what they find. I also said...

Hillary may cackle her way to defeat—or even jail

Posted by John Reed on

Hillary spent a fair amount of her time on Sunday Morning TV yesterday theatrically cackling in response to questions about her emails. When Jake Tapper said, “A lot of people think this is not a laughing matter,” she cackled some more. Here is item #23 from my popular (according to Google Analytics) article “Intellectually-honest and intellectually-dishonest debate tactics:” (http://johntreed.com/blogs/john-t-reed-s-news-blog/60887299-intellectually-honest-and-intellectually-dishonest-debate-tactics) 23. Hillary is immune from prosecution

Posted by John Reed on

Should Hillary be prosecuted for the email security violations? Absolutely. Will she be?No way. The Justice Department including the FBI will behave like referees in a big football game none of them want to throw the flag that decides the game. They will “let the players play,” that is, let the voters decide whether to reject Hillary. In other words, the Justice Department, including the FBI, like the football referees in the big game, will refuse to do their jobs.

The Medlock Doctrine on use of military force

Posted by John Reed on

Mike Medlock is the President of the United States in my forthcoming novel The Unelected President. He has a very different approach to military force than any prior president, but I argue it is based on common sense, which is an uncommon virtue in government and the U.S. military is government. The basic principle is the U.S. should use military force as a last resort, but that when it is used it should do maximum possible harm to the enemy’s ability to hurt or threaten us in the shortest possible period of time at the least cost in blood and...

Even when he occasionally gets it right, Obama screws it up

Posted by John Reed on

Even when Obama’s right no one believes him. Obama’s current policy on Syria is correct for the right reasons: stay out—it’s a tar baby—it is not strategic—IS is not a threat to the U.S unless they become a rich state—Russia will bankrupt itself spending a lot of money trying to prop up Assad. His prior policy—the red line and Assad must go were disasters because you don’t say stuff like that unless you mean to enforce it. But Obama has told so many lies and been so feckless and evasive in so many instances that he has turned himself, and the...
