Hillary’s secret email argument is total bull!

Posted by John Reed on

Hillary and classified information have gotten ridiculous. 22 of her emails—the ones she released to the State Department no less—cannot be released to the public because they are top secret. We are also told the Russians and Chinese almost certainly read the emails by hacking. That leaves the following: The 22 emails in question have been read by various Hillary friends and associates, some of whom had no top secret clearance, the Russians and Chinese, the intelligence community, the Obama top officials. The only people who have NOT read these emails are the American people.Hillary keeps saying this is just a dispute...

‘Little Old Me-ism’ and external validation seekers

Posted by John Reed on

I just heard Rush giving life advice. I heard no reason to believe he got it from me, but he said almost exactly two things that are big in my Succeeding book.http://www.johntreed.com/products/succeeding One is my Little Old Me-ism principle: “Reject Little Old Me-ism. Substitute all they can say is no-ism instead.” You can see a YouTube of my telling about the first time that worked for me at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acOKOstjaMo It’s about my getting into West Point where, parenthetically, I became a classmate of Dan Limbaugh who is a close relative of Rush. I suspect that if every old-enough boy in...

Here are some comments I have been putting up on Facebook. Many of my blog readers are not Facebook members and they want me to put those things here. Also, this blog is searchable by Google and such while Facebook is not. Republican chicken hawks I am real tried of Republican chicken hawks raving about how they’re gonna sock it to IS including boots on the ground. There were two veterans in the Republican race: Perry and Graham. Even they were just a couple of non-combatants: a cargo plane pilot—Perry flew C-130s—and an Air Force lawyer—Graham. But they dropped out.Those...

The various Hillary legal scenarios

Posted by John Reed on

A couple of thoughts on Hillary the felon. It is possible she could become toxic due to an indictment or leaks before the convention, and that the Democrats might change the rules to let them nominate some non-Bernie Sanders bright young star who has not been damaged by a tough primary fight and that person could win over the damaged-by-the primaries Republican nominee in November. It appears that Obama will prevent Attorney General Lynch and FBI Director Comey from doing their jobs and will give Hillary a pass. But she’d better win if they do, hadn’t she? Because on January 20, 2017,...

Quit rates and number of qualified applicants tell who is over- or underpaid

Posted by John Reed on

Wal-Mart today announced wage increases to stem an overly high turnover rate. I have often written about quit rate and its significance. Normal is about 20% per year. That is, in a normal organization, about 20% of the employees quit per year. I don’t want to quibble about the percentage. Whatever it is, there is a normal quit rate. Quit rate below 20% = overpaid If your quit rate is HIGHER, as at Wal-Mart, your pay/benefits/working conditions package is too low. Conversely, if your quite rate is BELOW 20% per year, your pay/benefits/working conditions package is too generous.Who fits that...
