Enforce the border or step back to avoid the s***hole stampede

I have researched leaving the U.S. in case the nation got hyperinflation. When you read about hyperinflation in other countries in the past (Germany) or present (Venezuela and Argentina), it is crystal clear that you need to get out of the hyperinflated country.

My tentative conclusion is that the best way to do it is on 90-day tourist visas. That is, you go to another country, stay 90 days, then go to a second country for another 90 days, and so on. I figure hyperinflation in the U.S. would last about six to 24 months. I rejected seeking a second passport or residence permit as being too difficult or expensive or time-consuming. I know it is easier in some countries or situations than others. Do not comment about that in response to this post. It’s off topic.

Anyway, part of my research is how would you actually, physically and legally do this. As I expect most readers would agree, you start by sending one or two parents on a scouting visit. I did that in Canada. My wife and I both went to Australia and New Zealand.

If and when hyperinflation or some comparable crisis hits the U.S., I expect I would go to the first 90-day country by myself to find a place to live during the 90 days. Then I would send for the rest of the family.

My three sons and daughter-in-law have high-paying jobs. In hyperinflation, job loss is actually not a problem, at least initially. Indeed, there is a bit of an economic boom as people spend money as fast as they get it. So we would play the details about which of the family members needed to remain in the U.S. by ear. Two of my sons are software guys. They could work from home, perhaps while out of the country on a tourist visa.

Perhaps our two grandchildren and their mother would find it necessary to join me in the foreign country.

But I guaran-damn-tee you we would not put the seven-year-old granddaughter and her two year old brother on the top of a freight car and send them to Canada or Mexico. Nor would I or my wife deliberately take one or both of them as sympathy props to increase our chances of not being prosecuted for violating the laws of the new country.

We are a nation of immigrants, Dems are fond of repeating to advance their hope of bringing in millions of undocumented Democrats. Indeed, we are.

But my mother’s father came legally at age nine with his mother. I saw the entries on the ship manifest including the fact that she had more than $30—proof of ability to support herself and her son in 1899—when they legally went through Ellis Island. My grandfather’s father had preceded his mother and him to the U.S.

I do not know the sequence of how my mother’s mother’s family went from Ireland to Boston, but I am pretty sure it was legal and there was no expectancy that they were violating the law or that having children with them would be an aid in getting away with violating the law.

My point is that the behavior of the Central Americans sending their kids alone to America or using them as props, like the gypsy woman we saw on the sidewalk in Rome suing a newborn as a prop in her begging, is outrageous. Sending unaccompanied kids to America or bringing them illegally as stay-out-of-jail-free cards should be DISQUALIFYING behavior for those seeking a residence permit (e.g., green card). If you ever did that, you are banned from ever even visiting America legally.

The border of any country is a rough place. Take the Mediterranean. Because of humanitarian concerns, Western Europe allows people to immigrate based on asylum claims or if they are in a sinking boat. One incident showed drowned infants washing up on the shore of a European country. It was cited as evidence that the policies of Europe were too harsh.

In fact, those infants and others have died because they deliberately leave Africa in unseaworthy boats then sabotage their own boat when they get closer to Europe than Africa and call for help. They should not be rescued. They have committed suicide.

If you have a policy of rescuing such people, you are encouraging them to put to sea in unseaworthy boats and to sabotage said boats to qualify as SOS cases, not illegal immigrants. If you announce the end of that policy, and stick to not rescuing, such voyages and sabotages will stop.

Like I said, the border is a rough place where people behave outrageously if you encourage it by letting them get away with it. We have had the same with Cuba where Castro responded to the great humanitarian Jimmy Carter by deliberately putting the worst criminals in Cuba on the so-called Mariel boat lift. Those criminals came to the U.S. and caused enormous crime problems for America. They were the MS13 of the late 1970s.

If you allow immigration for asylum purposes, every impoverished person on earth will claim asylum situation. One recent case had a Central American woman demanding a U.S. residence permit because her husband back in her s***hole country beat her. She needs to be deported, perhaps with the advice to get a divorce.

There is only one way to run the border. If you want to come here, you apply in the way that we specify. All others must be kept out including deporting them if they sneak in. How? WHATEVER IT TAKES. And it damned well takes separating kids from adults, walls and other barriers, and armed guards who are authorized to use lethal force when necessary.

Until we do that, the de facto immigration law of the U.S. is that if you sneak in or barge in, you can stay forever, except for a few rare cases who get deported, but no matter, they can sneak of barge in again. There is no effective policy that is worth the name to discourage them.

Seems to me they should be deported on the spot, not put in a bus and allowed to remain and ignore their court hearing date for years. In other words, they come across the border in the desert, you take them back to that spot in the desert and direct them to head south, not north. Every time they set foot across the border into the U.S., you push them back into Mexico. I guess there is some law requiring us to give free room and board endlessly to captured illegals. Change it. It encourages criminal behavior. Laws that encourage criminal behavior are insane.

At the border, all compassion and humanitarian will be turned into “Come on in” by the billions of s***hole country citizens who want to come here.

Two coaching sayings are pertinent:

What you demand, you get.

Central American who want to live in the U.S. need to apply legally. Those who try to enter illegally need to be repulsed at the border or upon capture. Those who send unaccompanied children to America are monster parents who should be banned for life from even visiting the U.S. Those who bring children as props for Democrat Party video clips deserve the same treatment.

America is a nation of immigrants who sent grown men to America first, then later sent for the children when it was legal to do so. And so America should remain.
